Membership Information

Your Weight Watchers membership...

  • To join Weight Watchers you need to be at least 5lb above the minimum weight for your height on our Healthy Weight Range
  • If you’re between 10 and 16 years of age, we’ll have to ask you for written approval from your GP, who must assign you a temporary weight target. Your parent or guardian must also give written approval and come with you to your meeting.
  • IF you are pregnant, are under the age of 10 or have an active diagnosis of bulimia nervosa or anorexia we can’t take you at this time. If you’re already a member and you become pregnant your membership will be suspended until you can return after your baby is born. Weight Watchers leaders aren’t qualified to give you advice about diet and weight during pregnancy.
  • On your registration form you’ll find a statement that asks you to accept responsibility for your own health while you’re following the Weight Watchers programme – we ask that you sign this.
  • We recognise that some of our members have different circumstances and needs. Sometimes attending weekly meetings may not be the most appropriate way for you to follow our plan. Weight Watchers also offers Weight Watchers At Home. If you would like to know more about these and how we can best help you please contact our Customer Service team – Republic of Ireland 1850 234 123  Northern Ireland 02890426812

When you join...

  • You have a choice of ways to pay for Weight Watchers membership:
  • PrePay with Smartsave. Get 12 weeks for the price of 10 or 6 weeks for the price of 5.
  • Pay on a weekly basis. You’ll pay a one-off registration fee and each week after that there is just the weekly fee. Making a commitment to come each week helps you stay motivated – so your weekly fee is payable each week as long as you are a member. Your membership allows for 2 weeks holiday every 6 months. If you are going on holiday, let your leader know and you will not be charged. Outside your holiday allowance, missed week fees apply, up to a maximum of 3. See Costs for more information on missed weeks.

Additional benefits of Weight Watchers membership...

  • If for some reason you can’t make it to your usual meeting, you can to go to a regular Weight Watchers meeting (anywhere in the world that Weight Watchers is offered!). Just take along your current membership card and pay the weekly fee (and if you do happen to be abroad, it’ll be the fee applicable to that country).
  • If you want to go to more than one meeting in a week, you don’t have to pay again but we’ll only weigh you once that week.
